Harvey Group proudly led the mechanical and electrical (M&E) services installation for the new state-of-the-art Northern Ireland Technology Centre (NITC) at Global Point Business Park, Newtownabbey. This 67,000 sq ft purpose-built research and development facility brings together Sensata’s formerly spread-out engineering, software development, and support functions into a single world-class campus.

BREEAM-Certified Design

The NITC consisted of two highly sustainable buildings, thoughtfully designed to meet BREEAM sustainability standards—underscoring both environmental responsibility and user well-being.

Local Economic Impact

Construction took place over approximately two years and generated around 150 jobs among regional suppliers and subcontractors, demonstrating Harvey Group’s commitment to local community and economy.

Electrical Services

  • Specialist gas systems tailored for laboratory areas

  • Corrosion-resistant ventilation solutions in sensitive zones

  • CAT 5 cabling and emergency eyewash systems within test labs

  • Boosted cold water supply and thermal storage systems for domestic hot water (DHW) Harvey Group

Advanced Coordination Techniques

All systems were meticulously coordinated using full 3D Revit modelling—ensuring precision, minimizing clashes, and optimizing construction and servicing workflows
