Development and construction of a replacement high school. Providing a conducive learning environment, the new facilities include a range of classroom spaces, storage rooms, toilets, sports hall, gym hall, and multipurpose hall.
Harvey Group were responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical and electrical services on the new school.
Energy efficient natural ventilation was provided throughout the new school via a combination of manual and automatic openable windows.
Underfloor heating serves the main teaching areas of the school with radiators mounted at high level within storage areas.
Rainwater harvesting, energy efficient LED lighting, and photovoltaics were all incorporated into the scheme to ensure an energy efficient building that achieved BREEAM Excellent rating.
